Fall Palettes

It’s my favourite time of the year! It’s Autumn 🍂!!!

Fall signifies the upcoming end of life — nature wise (or metaphorically, however you want to interpret it). However, despite the depressing connotation behind this season, I can’t help but FALL in love with it. When leaves begin to change colours from fresh bright greens to orange, then brown… you wait for them to pile under the tree; over the sidewalk; on your lawn… And every single one can relate to this: you dive in that pile of crispy dried leaves, and you let your inner-child remember the simplicity of life — happiness. Now, I don’t know if that’s just me who feels that way towards this season, and the dried leaves, but there are tons of other things I love about fall!

Thanks giving is just around the corner, pumpkins, cinnamon, apples, and of course, the outfits I could bust out during the season are just few of the things that makes me happy during fall.

Transitioning from end of summer to now, I have been drawn towards the colours: white, grey, black, maroon, Navy blue, dark brown, and mustard yellow! They’re classy, chic, and very versatile palettes to play with. What I also love about fall fashion is the fact that I get to wear boots, chunky scarves, hats, AND dresses! Basically all the clothing apparels I could live in all day and night long!

How bout you? What’s your favourite season & what do you like to wear during that time of the year? Since I love fall, I want to know what YOU like about my favourite season as well?

Hope this season treat you all well!

Take care!

Ps: excuse the quality of my photos. They’re so pixilated. I’m still playing around with the new phone & its camera! Tried to salvage as much as I could using awesome apps for editing.

🍂AUTUMN🍃

So I haven’t blogged in a loooonngg time, but hey, no fret!

I just want to share with you guys my take on the fall fashion & take advantage of the +18C forecast today, so I decided to wear a circle skirt. Oh, by the way, this gigantic scarf is the BEST thing in the world! If you live in a place where it’s cold 50% of the year, you know why I appreciate this cozy little thing so muuuuchh!

Fall fashion is all about layering! It’s my favourite season out of the four, because you pretty much get to wear a combination of all the season’s fashion in one. Whether you want to rock on your denim jacket, shorts, peacoat, boots, sandals, etc! The whole point is for us to enjoy the remaining bits of no snow days. I don’t mind winter….except here, it lasts longer than we expect, which kind of gives us that winter blues. Anyway, hope you’ll extract some ideas from my #ootd!

Have a great week!

Ciao!

'MURICAN DREAM

Keep it plain & simple this summer. Pair your boyfriend shorts with some lose white top (it can be any colour; it could even be a band-tee if you’re feelin’ it). Great for picnic, casual dates, and night outs with your friends.

This outfit is inspired by that typical west-coast chick livin’ the American dream.

COMBAT BOOTS: Nine West

🌺 FLAWA POWA 🌺

Who said SWIMMING SHORTS are only meant for swimming? Here’s my take on a Zara-esque inspired look – loose cotton top, summer patterned shorts, and 90s inspired sandals. Plain and simple, with a kick!

I’ve been seeing a lot of flower patterned swimming trunks (a.k.a “Cool Shorts - as it feels cool on your skin during a hot-blazing summer day) trending lately along with “sporty” style like jerseys, track shorts, and runners – see my previous post.

I had my doubts about these shorts. I felt conscious that I might not be able to pull it off as a casual pair of trousers, but viola! I took the risk and I loved it.

These shorts were only $5.00 from a local boutique. This closet item is quite versatile, and the material feels comfortable on your skin that you could almost live in it! :P

Hope your week is going great. Hang it there, it’s almost the weekend!

Take care!

OVER THE FENCE

*got out of the car and my two friends ran for the fence*

Me: aww heck no! I’ll walk around.
*cops drive by*
Cop 1: hey! No, go back there!
Me: excuse me?
Cop 1: you gotta go over the fence! You have to!
Me: but I can’t. I’m scared.
Cop 1: no. You gotta do it! *turns to Cop 2* this is going to be funny!

*Friend 1&2 tried to help me get over the fence*

Cop 1: no no you can’t help her! She’s gotta do it herself!

*I struggled to go over the fence. The ice was slushy that day so the snowbank wouldn’t hold. Now, imagine me hugging the fence halfway through.*

Cops: YAAAAY! *clap clap clap* *turns siren + lights on & drove away*

This was February 13, 2010. A week after I turned 18. I was so embarrassed, I wanted to melt with the snow! Hahaha!
